"It's so rewarding to have a client say our Early Years recruitment process in Bristol is top notch."

This week we're handing over the Class Recruit blog to one of our team members Lucy Burnell, to highlight some of the reasons why she loves working in Early Years recruitment, and to share some of the client comments including that Class Recruit's Early Years recruitment process in Bristol is top-notch.

Lucy joined Class Recruit in 2015 and we've asked her to chat about her experiences in the sector as well as working as an Early Years recruitment specialist in Clifton with us.

Was your background in Early Years recruitment before joining Class Recruit?

"I'd worked in social care and nursery recruitment for four years and had also worked for previously for various agencies as a nursery nurse, as well as working for nurseries directly."

How did you come to work at Class Recruit?

"I'd come into contact with Karen years ago while working for another agency as a temporary nursery nurse, and when I moved from Brighton to Bristol I wanted to stay in recruitment but in a smaller, more personalised agency rather than a large corporate environment."

How has Covid-91 impacted Early Years recruitment?

"It has been very up and down. 2021 was much quieter in lockdown with people isolating, and nurseries closed due to Covid outbreaks.

"However, now we are really busy. Demand for candidates is huge from nurseries and our nursery staff are busier than ever before."

Why do nursery clients stay with Class Recruit for their Early Years staff?

"Our clients are loyal because nurseries and Early Years settings often stick with one agency if they get consistently good service and staff."

"We have been seeing more nurseries that have not used agencies before now coming to us. We are open and honest with clients."

Is Bristol your only area of Early Years recruitment provision?

"No. Bristol is the main area, but Class Recruit provide Early Years candidates to Chippenham, Gloucester, Bath, North Somerset and Somerset from this year. We also place candidates across Wiltshire."

What do clients say about working with you?

"I've been told that Class Recruit are efficient, quick and easy to deal with."

"It was so rewarding last week to have a client say our Early Years recruitment process in Bristol is top-notch."
