At Class Recruit, the team sat down this week to discuss 2023 predictions for Early Years recruitment in the South West.
This is to benefit our lovely clients and candidates alike for the year ahead.
We also want to ensure that both are well-prepared for the next 12 months, and our growing team of Early Years recruitment consultants in Bristol have a huge amount of experience, knowledge and expertise to share.
In terms of 2023, we believe that the following trends will be evident in the Early Years recruitment sector for Bristol, Bath, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Weston, Portishead, Clevedon, Exeter and the South West as a whole:
Given the current financial climate, we are expecting to see significant numbers of people seeking work in the Early Years sector in 2023.
It is also likely that many candidates who were looking for part-time or contract work to be looking for more full-time placements in settings as the cost of living continues to rise.
Some nursery settings in the South West will struggle to remain open in 2023 due to staff shortages.
The need (and demand) for nursery staff across all positions will increase.
There will be more flexibility in 2023 when it comes to recruiting nursery staff: in education and Early Years recruitment, for example, a minimum requirement for candidates is to have childcare experience with formal qualifications being desirable but not essential.
