We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Deputy Manager to join a lovely nursery team in Filton. The Nursery is a warm and welcoming childcare provider, dedicated to offering high-quality early years education and care. The nursery prides itself on offering nurturing a stimulating environment where children can grow, learn, and thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring compliance with EYFS standards, safeguarding policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Act as a role model, inspiring and motivating the team to deliver exceptional childcare.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for children, staff, and families.
• Lead and manage staff effectively, including mentoring and supporting professional development.
• Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and the local community to support the children’s learning and development.
• Oversee planning, assessment, and record-keeping to ensure high standards of learning and development outcomes.
• Step into the Nursery Manager role in their absence, ensuring seamless operations.

What We’re Looking For:

• Level 3 or higher qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent (essential).
• Proven experience in a leadership or senior role within an early years setting.
• Thorough understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• A genuine passion for early years education and child development.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of care and safeguarding.
• Paediatric First Aid and safeguarding training (or willingness to obtain).
